Variable MU (gain) compression provides smooth, program-dependent dynamics control. The compression ratio automatically adjusts based on the input signal, creating musical and transparent gain reduction perfect for vocals and mix bus processing.
Drive the input to achieve the desired amount of compression and tube saturation. The output control compensates for gain reduction while adding subtle harmonic coloration when pushed.
Single mode provides slow attack and release times perfect for gentle, transparent compression. Double mode offers faster time constants for more aggressive control and punch - ideal for drums and percussive material.
Fine-tune the stereo balance and compensate for any channel differences. Essential for mastering applications where precise stereo imaging is critical.
Classic VU meters display gain reduction for both left and right channels independently, allowing precise monitoring of stereo compression behavior.
