Sets the level at which compression begins. Signals above the threshold are compressed with the classic British diode bridge character, while signals below pass through unaffected.
Adjusts the transition between uncompressed and compressed signals. Soft knee provides gradual compression onset for transparent control, while hard knee offers more aggressive, immediate compression.
Attack controls how quickly the compressor responds to signals above the threshold. Release determines how quickly the compression stops after the signal drops below threshold. Critical for maintaining natural dynamics.
